This week's TAST challenge by Sharon is Herringbone stitch.
There are a few variations to herringbone stitch, but here I have tried only herringbone stitch and double herringbone stitch without any addition of sequeins. Its quite a simple stitch and easy for beginners too..
Pull up the needle at A, down at B and up at C, again down at D and up at E...continue to do so. This is for the basic herringbone stitch.
In this first picture, I have tried double herringbone stitch, herringbone with chain stitch and finally herringbone with buttonhole stitch.
In the below picture, I have tried herringbone with feather stitch, two rows of double herringbone stitch and multiple lines of herringbone stitch.
I have tried my favourite pattern on swirls and round with double herringbone stitch and chain stitch
Great examples. I especially like the combination with the feather stitch!
