This week Sharon's challenge for TAST is Chain stitch.. I tried the following patterns of creating lines, curves, combination with other stitches, borders and also tried filling with chain stitch...
This week's stitch for TAST challenge by Sharon is Detatched Chain stitch..This is quite an easy one, however practice would make the stitch look more beautiful and symmetric.
Buttonhole stitch looks very good for borders and adjusting the lengths while doing gives beautiful designs.
Bring up the needle at A, down at B and up at C with thread to the right of the needle, again down at D and up at E with thread to the right side and so on..
Some of the variations tried by adjusting lengths..
Fly stitch is a very simple embrodiery stitch and to do the stitch, bring up the needle at A, down at B, up at C with thread behind the needle and down at D again. This completes one single stitch and combination of fly stitches in various ways bring in lot of variety in the stitches.
