Pot Painting




This is a very simple art ready in 10 minutes. I have used a icecream plastic container for this. Stick some mirrors and use a glass painting outliner to create designs. Also serves as a good gift item.

Variety Painting Workshop at Bangalore

A variety painting workshop was conducted in Bangalore on 27th Jan by a professional Mr. Ramesh from Kerala and organised by Mrs Anu of Bangalore.
All paintings published in this post were done by Mr. Ramesh (except 1 and 13..which was tried out by me in the workshop)

We were taught new techniques and different kinds of stroke paintings. Here is what we learnt-

1) Simple flowers by pressing the brush on the paper once for each petal.



2) Flowers using Fan brush that Sir specially got for us from Kerala

Pot Painting


Materials required
Pots or any mud vessel
Pearl colours or any fabric colour
BrushVarnish

First clean the mud vessel or pot well and let it dry.

Draw the design of your choice on it and start painting.

Once dry, apply a layer of varnish to it to give it a shine and a long life.

It serves as a good gift and small pots can also be used as candle stands.

Pot Painting with Mseal


Materials Required

Mseal 1 box
A pot
Black enamel colours
Gold Colours
Varnish
Brush
Some talcum powder

Paint the pot with black enamel colour and let it dry well.

Mix the two parts of mseal to make a single dough and then shape it using talcum powder to make grapes or flowers as desired.

Stick them on the pot...make sure you finish sticking the mseal within twenty minutes of mixing it.

Let it dry well. Colour it using gold colour and let it dry.

Finally apply a coat of varnish.
